LCHCC 2025 Executive Board
Chair of the Board
Dr. Adam García Amador is the newly elected Chairman of the Board for the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and an accomplished educational leader from Bayard, New Mexico. He is the recipient of the 2025 Corazon de Cultura Award for his leadership in promoting Hispanic culture and heritage in schools across New Mexico. As Chief Academic Officer of Alma d’Arte Charter High School, he has helped lead the school to local, state, and national recognition. Dr. Amador also serves as Chair of the Hispanic Education Advisory Council, where he works to expand culturally relevant education programs, strengthen student and parent engagement, and improve success for Hispanic students throughout the state.
Vice- 1st Chair
Amanda Morales serves as CEO of United Way of Southwest New Mexico and has been a dedicated leader with the organization since 2012, previously serving in several key roles. A graduate of New Mexico State University with a degree in Social Work, Amanda is passionate about strengthening the community through collaboration, service, and leadership. She has served in multiple community leadership roles, including with the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and has been recognized for her volunteerism and community impact. Proud to call Las Cruces home since 2008, Amanda remains committed to improving lives across the region.
Vice - 2nd Chair
Isidoro Vaquera, Junior, is an entrepreneur and marketing professional dedicated to helping businesses grow through strategic branding, creative outreach, and community engagement. As the owner of TMG Marketing, he works closely with clients to build visibility, strengthen customer connections, and develop results-driven campaigns. Known for his professionalism, innovation, and commitment to local business success, Junior is passionate about creating opportunities that support growth and long-term impact in the community.
Board Secretary
Miguel Acosta serves as an Account Executive with Hutton Broadcasting, where he specializes in building strong client relationships and creating strategic advertising solutions that help businesses grow. Known for his professionalism, community connections, and results-driven approach, Miguel works closely with organizations to develop effective radio and media campaigns tailored to their goals. With a passion for supporting local business success, he is dedicated to helping clients expand their reach, strengthen their brand presence, and connect meaningfully with the communities they serve.
Treasurer
John Vasquez is Vice-President of Commercial Lending at First American Bank, where he helps businesses and entrepreneurs secure financing solutions to support growth and success. With experience in commercial lending and relationship management, he is known for his professionalism, integrity, and commitment to building strong client and community partnerships.
Past Chair
Sonia White serves as the Lead Enterprise Instructional Technology Administrator at New Mexico State University, where she oversees the Canvas learning management system and a broad range of instructional technologies that support teaching and learning. As the university’s Lead Canvas Administrator, she manages Canvas operations and instructional technology integration while supporting faculty and students through reliable systems, training, and user-centered solutions that enhance the learning experience. With more than 20 years in the NMSU system, Sonia is known for her professionalism, technical expertise, and strong commitment to student success and faculty collaboration. Her work advances instructional technology and supports the university’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence. She is a valued leader committed to strengthening NMSU’s educational mission and serving its broader community.
Executive Director
Richard Aguilar is the President of Aguilar Accounting Inc. and a dedicated professional with extensive experience in accounting, tax preparation, and financial planning. Known for his integrity and personalized service, he is committed to helping individuals and businesses achieve financial success while supporting the growth of the local business community.
